In fall 2017, GOSS M600 Heidelberg web printing press was modernized, with extra LED-UV drying system installed. In the course of industrial testing, LED high-reactive ink printing technologies were perfected, allowing printing at speeds up to 40 thousand impressions per hour on any paper.

The use of LED technology in web printing helps to get rid of the problems that arise while using high-temperature systems for ink drying: cockling impressions, warping and acclimatization deformation of paper after printing, the need for paper dampening after drying, which significantly improves the quality of the final product and reduces production costs.

Besides, the technology allows subsequent processing of impressions without technological pauses, as it does not imply application of silicone emulsion on the impressions, it allows manufacturing products with subsequent lacquering and foil stamping, for example – magazine covers.

At the moment, several commercial circulations have been printed on problematic coated and offset paper according to LED technology.
